Ministries

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ in and for the world, and that we therefore need to compassionately reach out to the lost and to “the least of these.” Who better fits this description than children who find themselves alone, abandoned and exploited? We are convinced that the cries of these children daily pierce God's heart, and that God earnestly yearns for His people to respond to their cries. PWM therefore seeks to serve the Church by helping it to respond to the needs of orphans, widows and the poor. We do so by concentrating on the following three areas of ministry, intending to offer a multi-faceted approach to a complex problem:

  • Local Orphan and Widow Care: Establishing innovative, culturally appropriate orphan and widow care communities—initially in Honduras and eventually in other nations.
  • Adoption Advocacy: Improving national and international systems and processes that govern adoption practices within countries with soaring orphan populations.
  • Child Advocacy through Technological Development: Enhancing the technological resources of capital-constrained government agencies within developing countries who seek to improve their capabilities for tracking and caring for children at risk.
In addition, PWM sponsors and participates in a variety of Special Projects and Needs that arise in the communities in which we serve.

“He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’”
