They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. Psalm 145:7

On April 6th, over 40 Americans from 12 states (CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, NY, PA, TN, TX, and WI) along with over 250 Hondurans gathered to celebrate and dedicate the John Eaves Medical Clinic in Siguatepeque, Honduras. The dedication centered around God's faithfulness (Psalm 117:2) and provision as well as a time to honor the man with whom the clinic is named, John Eaves.

Gathered under tents at the footsteps of the clinic, those in attendance heard from various speakers including Josh Eaves, John's son, who shared about his father's dream at an early age to be a physician. Kay Eaves, John's wife, shared that while he never lived out that dream in his lifetime, this clinic is now an answer to a lifelong desire for healing, both physically as well as spiritually.

To conclude the ceremony, various groups of people (such as the PWM workers, staff, volunteers, U.S. construction teams, PWM Board members, the Eaves family, and others) were called up to cut one of the twelve colored ribbons leading up the stairs to the front of the clinic. This was a clever way to honor all in atttendance and those who could not be there who have had a hand in building this amazing facility over the past five years.

A moving moment occured when the children who had the first surgeries in the clinic were called to cut a ribbon. One boy in a body cast to his waist was awkwardly carried to the steps by his father. They represented the 20+ children who had orthopedic surgeries just the week before.
