Partnering with PWM > Career Opportunities

A career in cross-cultural ministry can be exciting, formational and rewarding. It can also be tremendously challenging and sometimes overwhelming. Therefore, it is never something to be entered into without much consideration, prayer, and guidance. We receive many inquiries about career opportunities with Providence World Ministries. We view each candidate as a potential divine appointment. Our goal in the application process is therefore to work with the candidate to discern together whether a career with PWM is indeed within God’s providential plan.

All of our missionary (non-Honduran) employees—including our President—are responsible for raising 100% of their own salary and living funds through a separate mission sending agency of their choosing. While this creates a fundraising burden for each as employees, it allows us to keep our administrative expenses to a minimum, so that more PWM donor funds can be used for ministry. In addition, as employees, it affords each person the opportunity to allow their churches, friends, and those with a passion for orphans and widows to participate financially in their ministry.

Internship Opportunities

Internships are available for those over the age of 17 who are interested in volunteered service with PWM for an extended period of time. They are also encouraged for those desiring on-site exploration of a possible career with PWM. A cross-cultural ministry internship can significantly enhance your understanding of and vision for ministry, while allowing you to make a significant contribution to the building, establishment and success of our orphan and widow care communities.

We offer 3-month, 1-year and 2-year internships. Internships with PWM are catered to utilize the intern’s unique work/ministry skill sets and leadership capabilities, while helping the intern to achieve his or her goals for personal and spiritual development. As with career employees, our interns are responsible for raising the funds necessary to cover all of their travel and living expenses.
